For professional in vitro diagnostic use only.
Clinical Significance
Ceruloplasmin is a copper oxidase enzyme, possible important in regulating the ionic state of iron and other metallic ions. Levels are decreased in hepatoenticular degeneration or Wilson's disease and Menke's Kinky hair syndrome. Levels are elevated by the acute phase response and particularly by oestrogens.
Test Principle
Measurement of antigen-antibody reaction by the end-point method.
Stability & Storage
The reagents are stable until expiry date when kept at 2-8°C. Stability in the instrument is at least 4 weeks if contamination is avoided. Do not freeze.
