INSTRUMENTS MAINTENANCE

For detailed description of the preventive maintenance actions refer to the Maintenance Section on the User Manual.

Below some indications in brief.

  1. Replace all peristaltic pump heads (about 600,000 machine working cycles in 1 year).
  2. Replace photometer halogen lamp for optimized performances (2,000 hours or 1 year max) and then run a Gain Calibration cycle.
  3. Replace the sampler probe/s for optimized performances (replace earlier if damaged).
  4. Replace tanks filters with new ones for best operation.
  5. Replace the in-line filter of the washing sink draining diaphragm pump inlet (P3140000324) with a new one to avoid obstruction (not present in Miura One and Hemo One).
  6. Clean and disinfect the instrument probe washing sink to remove soils.
  7. Verify instrument operation and check positions coordinates.
  8. Replace the washing station white tip on the last position.

The following items can be required in case of breakdown or damage (service carried out by Authorized Technical Personnel only with the exception of cuvettes). When needed:

  1. Replace the vacuum pump or check/replace internal valves and o-rings of the washing station aspiration needles if not aspiring (refer to the attached CBL-11269-00 to check or replace internal valves and o-ring, this operation could be necessary also more than once a year in case of accidental obstruction).
  2. Replace the vacuum pump (or check internal valves) of the washing station tip if not aspiring.
  3. Replace complete peristaltic pumps in case of motor breakdown.
  4. Replace any dispensing washing station needle if clotted or damaged.
  5. Replace sampler probe aspiration Teflon® tubing if damaged or in case of fluid leakage.
  6. Replace washing station head tubing (Teflon® and Tygon®) if damaged, bended or squeezed and in case of fluid leakage evidence.
  7. Replace diluter/s if out of order or damaged (long durability if operated with the systemic solution suggested by the manufacturer – 5,000,000 full strokes minimum).
  8. Replace single cuvette when requested by the software.
  9. Replace cuvettes’ rotor after 20000 tests.

Launch a daily Cuvette Extra-Wash cycle and clean the outside surface of the metallic Sampler Probe with an ethanol solution at 70%.

Wash the tanks for washing solutions with distilled water every 2 refills to prevent the increase in solute concentration at the bottom of the tanks.

Parts to be replaced once a year during the preventive Maintenance to be performed by technician:

  • Peristaltic heads
  • Sampler probe
  • Halogen lamp lamp
  • Inline hydraulic filter (only for Miura 200)

Exists 2 different washing solution configurations including 2 kind of cuvette Cleaner solutions and 2 kind of Extra cuvette washing solutions, which must never be confused !
